Course Description
The Illinois Food Handler Program meets the State of Illinois requirements for individuals working with un-packaged food, food equiment, or food-contact surfaces in food establishments. This course can be completed 100% online, smartphone friendly, and is only $6.99.
Why Food Handler Training?
Every food handler working in Illinois must have proof of completion of an ANSI accredited Food Handler Training course, including those who only handle food some of the time. Workers in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, & licensed day care facilities must also receive food handler training. Unpaid volunteers are exempt from this requirement.
Training is Valid Statewide The Food Handler Certificate earned will be valid statewide in Illinois, & is transferrable between employers. Certificates are valid for a term of 3 years.
It's Required The State of Illinois requires all persons working in a food service establishment to have a valid Food Handler Card (410 ILCS 625). Our ANSI accredited Food Handler Training Program meets this requirement, including downloadable certificates to show proof of training.
